PIE: A portfolio investment entity is a company that invests the contributions of investors. More favourable tax rules apply to a PIE investment.

Prime property: Prime properties are in big commercial centres and have good transport, design, energy efficiency, and strong tenants.

 

Protectionism: Protectionism is where a country’s policies aim to restrict international trade, to protect it from foreign competition.

Photovoltaics: The term used to describe the conversion of light into electricity using semiconducting materials.

 

Portfolio: A group of financial assets held by an investor, sometimes managed by an adviser or broker.

 

Private equity: Investment in private companies that are not listed on a stock exchange.
