International investment,
inspiration and style

Thursday 9 June

Spark Lab, Level 4, Seafarers Building
52 Tyler St Britomart, Auckland

This JUNO event had a truly international flavour, with speakers inspiring Kiwis to diversify their investments beyond New Zealand’s shores.

Globalisation was the theme of the evening, with speakers covering a wide range of topics – from global investing to exporting to international suit trends.

About 60 people attended the event, enjoying conversation, wine, and canapés at SparkLab, Seafarers Club, in Auckland.

Vend founder Vaughan Rowsell spoke about his journey taking the point-of-sale software company global, and how an overnight inspiration led to the business opening offices in Boston and Berlin.

Chris Smith, of CMC Markets, outlined the benefits of investing in global indices and how to do so through CMC’s trading platform.

Pathfinder Asset Management’s Paul Brownsey discussed the gains in offshore property investment, and provided an overview of the company’s Global Property Fund.

MC for the evening, Juno editor-in-chief Jacqueline Taylor, introduced new editor Brenda Ward. Brenda passed on tips for choosing a suit, inspired by Crane Brothers’ new international tailoring service, Made in Italy.
