Respected economist Cameron Bagrie has started his own boutique research consultancy after more than 11 years as ANZ’s Chief Economist.
“I think there’s a real demand for research that’s fully independent. I’m lucky that I’ve got a well-known name, I’ve got a bit of a reputation for being a straight-shooter, and I’ve had a pretty extensive track record,” he says.
He says his consultancy allows organisations to engage an economist for just one or two days a month – something he says is different for New Zealand.
He says he’ll take on just one firm per sector, so he can help them meet their business objectives with a tailored service. There’s also demand for him to speak at events.
